MM: Tell us a little about your artistic background.
CS: I have been painting, drawing and making objects with paper as long as I can remember. I really got serious with my artwork when I started at Southbank in 2011 and have extended my skills to include sculpture and printmaking. I enjoy creating work that is visually attractive.

MM: What medium would you consider your art to be?
CS: I predominantly use watercolours and like to work on all types of paper.

MM: Who inspires you?
CS: Contemporary artists that inspire me include Kiki Smith, Monika Tichacek and Del Kathryn Barton. I also admire the work of John Wolseley, particularly how he uses watercolours and incorporates natural marks from the environment in his work.

MM: What do you hope to achieve within the creative community?
CS: To contribute to the dialogue between visual arts and contemporary events and exhibiting artworks that resonate with other people.

MM: Where can our readers check out more of your work?

CS: My blog.
