It has always been fun to imagine what the future would look like. Will androids wander the streets like in I, Robot? Will someone change something they shouldn't and ultimately cause the zombie apocalypse? Will we be forced into a dystopian world similar to The Hunger Games? Who knows ? While probably asking himself the same set of questions, William Kass decided to use AI to see what would happen if Apple took over the world in the future. The result is dark.

What would a world run by Apple look like?
When most people think of the future, they either think of the apocalypse or clean lines, and somehow the Apple product-devoured city manages to achieve both styles. There doesn't seem to be a drop of color anywhere. Everything is white, even the outfits or hazmat-type suits that everyone wears as part of their activities.
There's nothing unique about the AI-generated city aside from a few meticulously placed plants, some of which have retained their green hue while others have taken on the same shade of white as the rest of the world.
There is therefore a good chance that the piece of greenery is fake, put there to make the world less depressing than it is.
The world is almost entirely covered in smog that does its best to hide the rest of the world. It gives the impression that the world is closed, that only it exists and that civilians should not bother to explore it further. It is also a somewhat disturbing presence, which hovers over the city like a warning. However, the smog brings a sense of cohesion to the images and sets the stage for an interesting story.
Most people have their faces covered while going about their business, probably because of the smog. The masks and outfits make them look like stormtroopers and strip them of any sense of individuality.

Thoughts on the dystopian world
People hated this world, but in an interesting way. The world's lack of color and individuality sparked strong dislike, with many commenting that it looked dead. One comment even asked if the pods in the images were there for people to sit and cry.
Some liked the commentary of the images and wished to see a movie set in a similar world, while others mocked Apple with comments such as “Your living space will still be fully functional in three years, but the operating system will be obsolete and you will have to buy a new one anyway because you won't be able to get into the one you already have….”

TL;DR
- A Midjourney user wanted to see what a future where Apple manages everything would look like.
- It's dark and foggy, with greenery that doesn't exist or looks fake.
- People liked or hated the images because they commented on a possible future.
