I found an Apple Watch, how do I reset it?

I found an Apple Watch. How to reset it? This is an Apple Watch that I found when I came back from a trip. The screen was partially broken and I haven't been able to return it to its owner for some time. I made inquiries in the hope of finding the owner, but it is practically impossible.

I decided to start using the device and was hoping to find out if there were any options for finding a lost Apple Watch or finding a long lost Apple Watch.

Ok, I found myself in a similar dilemma. I was walking down my street recently and found an Apple Watch. Unfortunately the watch was locked and I didn't know how to reset it. So I did a little digging and finally reset the watch after so much trial and error, and I thought I should share my findings in an article for you.

If you are in the same situation and wondering how to reset the Apple Watch you found, in this article you will find all the tips and tricks you can try. Be careful, when you find an Apple Watch, or just about any piece of technology, you should try to give it to its actual owner, as that would be the moral thing to do. But without further ado, here are some things to try if you've found an Apple Watch.

I found an Apple Watch. How to reset it?

The first thing I recommend you do is completely reset the watch or erase it completely. If the Apple Watch originally belonged to you or someone in the same household and the watch can still connect to your home wifi, I recommend doing a full wipe using the FindMy app.

1. Contact Apple Support Line

When I happened to forget my Mac password, I contacted Apple's support line and they helped me change the password. I did the same thing with my Apple Watch, they changed the password and I was able to use my watch again. There's no doubt that this will only work if you own the Apple Watch. If it was lost by someone else, this option will not work for you.

2. Manually Resetting Apple Watch

If you can't access the Apple Watch setting feature you found, I recommend placing your Apple Watch on its charger >> press and hold the side button until until you see the power off option. You then need to press and hold the Digital Crown and select Reset.

3. Take it to the courier

I got my Apple Watch from AT&T and was able to have one of the watches I wanted unlocked shipped to them, and they were able to unlock it for free. These companies have a record of the IMEI on your account, and if you need to reset an Apple Watch that you found and forgot the password, they are more than willing to help you. This option would only work for Apple Watches with a cellular system and not for those without one.

4. Resetting Using an iPhone

To do this, you need to make sure your iPhone and Apple Watch are close to each other. Then you need to launch the Apple Watch app on your iPhone >> tap My Watch >> select General >> tap Reset >> select Erase Apple Watch content and settings >> and now you have to wait for the Apple Watch is reset, then you have to configure everything from scratch. Apple Watch will look like it did when you bought it.
