According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple may not hold an event in October, leading it to announce devices like the next-generation iPad Air through a press release.
Gurman says Apple will not reveal any new iPad models at its “Wonderlust” event next week, which will focus only on the new generation of Apple Watch and iPhone.
Gurman said a new iPad Air with improved specifications is in development and the device will arrive soon. He added that “it's possible we'll have an iPad update in October,” not taking into account the iPad Pro, which isn't expected to be updated until next year.
Gurman believes a new Apple product will launch in October, but he is skeptical about holding an entire event to unveil new devices. According to him, this could be an event similar to the presentation of the M2 Pro and M2 Max models of the MacBook Pro earlier this year, which were announced through a press release and a short video.
Yesterday, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo indicated that Apple would not release new MacBook models equipped with M3 chips until the end of the year. Previously, the unveiling of the first MacBooks equipped with the M3 chip was expected to take place at an Apple event in October.
