Tecno Showcase event reveals upcoming South African line-up

Tecno Showcase Event Reveals Upcoming South African Lineup

Tecno entered the South African market a few years ago. Under the Itel umbrella, the brand quickly became a household name with a wide range of affordable products for consumers. Thanks to its steady growth and increase in market share, the brand has expanded its product range. At the Tecno Showcase event, the brand announced its latest product lineup, including smartphones, accessories, wearables, and laptops.

Headlining its new product range

The two new products that were announced during the presentation are the Tecno Megabook T1 i5 and the new Powerbank.

The new Tecno Megabook T1 is the star of the release announcement. Although its aim is to offer an affordable price to the mid-range market, Tecno has not taken any shortcuts when it comes to specifications and performance. Its Intel Core i5 processor meets all computing requirements.

Additionally, it features a massive 70Wh battery with an average battery life of over 17 hours of continuous use. The battery also comes with a fast charging feature with a 65W charger. It has multiple memory and storage options to further enhance the user experience. When it comes to entertainment, it offers excellent visuals with a vivid display and a holographic sound system developed in-house by the Tecno Audio Lab team.

Load shedding is still a key factor in the South African market. This is why Tecno has announced its only power supply range to the South African market. Tecno will present its range in due course, after having presented its 20,000 mAh model during the presentation event. Practical experience revealed several important additions to the product, including a visual display on the units, which provides useful information to the consumer. This is a significant improvement over the standard three- or four-dot indicator lights that provide battery information. The powerbank product line augments Tecno's smart AIoT products locally.

While the aforementioned devices headlined the release announcements, Tecno also shared information about other units during the presentation event. These include the Spark 10 series, released a few weeks before the event. Additionally, other devices were showcased including TECNO Sonic 1 Active True Wireless Earphones, TECNO Watch 2, TECNO Square S3 Speaker and TECNO 4G Portable WiFi Router TR109. Tecno thus aims to increase its offering of smart products in order to create an integrated experience for consumers, even in the mid-range.
