Intel Arc A750 becomes up to 36% faster in the latest games, thanks to driver updates

Intel Arc A750 devient jusqu'à 36% plus rapide dans les jeux les plus récents, grâce aux mises à jour des pilotes

Intel's Arc Alchemist graphics cards were largely ignored by gamers when they launched last year. After numerous price drops and several dozen driver updates, the first generation Arc GPUs seem like reasonable choices. Mydrivers compared the performance of the Arc A750 using the launch driver (3433) and the latest driver (4973). We are seeing nominal to substantial gains across a range of recently launched games.

In eSports titles such as Valorant and PUBG, we see an average performance increase of 17% and 30%respectively. The Arc A750 delivers bass of over 100 FPS in both titles, which can be the difference between victory and defeat.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Borderlands 3 benefit from nominal increases to mid and low frame rates, but without any impact on your experience.

Gears of War 5 and F1 2022 delivered playable performance on the Arc A750 at launch. Rolling driver updates have optimized these titles for a silky smooth experience, averaging 89 FPS and 64 FPS, respectively. Compared to 2022, the racing simulator is 36% faster on the A750.

Metro Exodus, Cyberpunk 2077 and Alan Wake are the heavyweights of our time. The Arc A750 offers a reasonable experience in all three titles, with recent driver updates further improving performance. Alan Wake 2 is 13% faster on the A750 compared to the launch pilot.

Intel's XeSS upscaling is essential to delivering playable performance in ray-traced titles. However, the graph above indicates poor upscaling (perhaps due to a CPU bottleneck at 1080p), and the lack of frame generation is strongly felt. This is even more important for Xe-LPG iGPUs on the upcoming Meteor Lake processors.
