NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super, 4070 Ti Super and 4080 Super coming soon?

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super, 4070 Ti Super et 4080 Super bientôt disponibles ?

NVIDIA could be working on an RTX 40 “Super” Refresh, offering more cores, memory and bandwidth at current prices. According to @hongxing2020 (X), four RTX 40 Super GPUs are being prepared for launch in the near future. These are the GeForce RTX 4070 Super, RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4080 Super. Personally, I'm a little skeptical about this leak but you never know what Jensen has in mind.

Some time ago, it was rumored that an RTX 4080 Super or 4080 Ti would be launched in early 2024 at the same price as the RTX 4080. This GPU would be based on the AD102 processor (the same as the RTX 4090) and would consume around 400W. An RTX 4080 Ti fits that description perfectly, and it's usually around this time that NVIDIA releases its latest high-end Ti GPU.

NVIDIA's RTX 5090 and 5080 “Blackwell” cards are expected to arrive in the third or fourth quarter of 2024. This leaves the chipmaker at least two quarters (if the Super launch occurs in the first quarter of 2024) for sales and marketing of ‘a potential refresh of Ada Lovelace.

With the current lineup and pricing, competition for AMD's RDNA 3 GPU is light at best, and absent in the enthusiast segment. An RTX 40 “Super” refresh for 60 and 70 class cards would make the most sense. An RTX 4060 Super to tackle the Radeon RX 7700 XT, and an RTX 4070 Super to tackle the RX 7800 XT. The RTX 4070 Ti and 4080 hold up well against the RX 7900 series, but if needed, a Refresh of the former wouldn't be a bad idea. The RTX 4080 just needs a price cut.
