At best, fraudulent spam calls and emails waste our time. In the worst cases, people lose money to criminals. Although spam filters and blocking tools have improved over the years, they still cannot provide 100% protection.
So, what to do?
Well, many helpless phone users and netizens are returning the scammers in their checks using Robo Revenge service. So, what is Robo Revenge?
What is Robo Revenge? An in-depth review and analysis
Robo Revenge is a tool that helps you register your phone number on the National Do Not Call Registry. And when a spammer calls you, you can sue them easily and ingeniously.
It is difficult to relate Robo Revenge to a particular service because there are many revenge goals when it comes to robocalling now. But at the top of the list is DoNotPay, the world's first robot defense lawyer.
It helps spam victims to legally organize a revenge mission against robo-callers and take money from them. It's about scamming, or using the right word, pursuing the scammer and paying them back in the same coin.
Robo Revenge helps you get paid, taking up to $3,000 from scammers for each call.
So if a spammer pays me every time he calls me, I will no longer be angry but will pray for the next call.
By the way, the service is legal, and anyone within its jurisdiction has the right to use it.

Other methods of robot revenge in the real world
The DoNotPay Robo Revenge method looks good on paper. But let's be real, this may not work in some cases. For example, these criminals may not respond to a restitution letter. And they know how to cover their tracks!
While many report, delete and block the caller, texter or email sender, some seek other ways to get revenge on these time-wasting spammers. Here are other ways people get back at spammers and scammers.
1. A programmer created a script that calls scammers 28 times per second!
A programmer created a script that allows his computer to automatically call up to 28 times/second a Robo scam company that called him to extract money.
The scam company had called him a few days earlier, pretending to be the United States tax authorities (IRS). They urged him to send them $8,000 to regularize his situation.
Our savior-hacker therefore launched his program, which automatically calls the company by automatically broadcasting the following voice message:
” Hello, you have been identified as a scammer. So we will flood your line to prevent you from scamming other people. It won’t stop until you stop.”
It then records the scam company getting spammed with these voice messages. We can thus hear the telephone operators losing their tempers, saying that they are indeed crooks, insulting the voice message, uttering threats, etc.
2. Netsafe and Re:Scam
The team at New Zealand security company Netsafe didn't seem to want to support Robo-callers. They therefore developed a new weapon against spammers: the Re:Scam chatbot.
Re:Scam does nothing other than respond to spam messages and engage scammers in a conversation that lasts as long as possible.
According to the developers, this should give scammers less time to rob real people of their savings. However, this only works if spammers are not already using automated chatbots.
The creators of Re:Scam ask you to forward spam emails to their bot, which will take care of the rest. Then, all you have to do is forward the emails to [email protected].
However, it is doubtful whether the robot can significantly contribute to the prevention of online fraud. But I always like to imagine a spammer somewhere in the world throwing in the towel after a long-winded chat with Re:Scam.

3. The Revenge of Alan Rasky, the Godfather of Spam
Alan Ralsky is not one of the most popular people on the Internet. But this American is one of the main senders of “spam”, these unsolicited advertising messages which clutter mailboxes and promise wealth, sex and health.
For these reasons, he is known as the “godfather of spam”.
Ralsky felt safe, and his clients made him rich. But when a report about Ralsky's new $740,000 home appeared on a Detroit website, it was too much for some. So, someone posted Ralsky's address on the Internet. Since then, the man has received real daily emails: promotional materials, catalogs, brochures and cheap gifts.
“They signed me up for every ad campaign there is,” laments Ralsky. “These people are crazy.” Ralsky wanted to go to trial. But even if he managed to identify a culprit, the flood of publicity wouldn't stop there. And you can't delete real mail with a single mouse click.
Should I take revenge on a Robocaller?
My view on this issue is a little more cautious; Chatting with spammers and scammers without prior experience can land you in trouble.
There are many things to consider before embarking on this path. And if you still want to waste your spammers' time (and in a safe way), read on.
Use a tool to do the dirty work
As we mentioned earlier, there are various tools available online to combat spammers. For example, there is DoNotPay, Re:Scam, and more. And the good thing is, they won't know you're involved.
You can also use a chatbot like Spamnesty to automate spam. Simply remove all your personal information from any email exchange and send the spam to the Spamnesty email address.
Then sit back, have a good laugh, and watch a chatbot constantly impersonate a CEO and frustrate the scammer.

Use a spam blocking app
There are several apps that block phone calls. But, unfortunately, there are not many who waste scammers' time with chatbots.
It is always useful to have the Truecaller: ID and Spam Block app installed (Android and iOS) on your phone. First, as soon as a call comes in, it shows the real name of the caller, and you can tell if they are spammers or scammers.
You can also enable the auto-block feature by opening the app and tapping Block in the bottom right corner.
Next, enable the Block Top Spammers option by tapping on it.
